WHAT IS JEE PAPER 2?
For admission in 5-years architecture courses, there are two predominant entrance exams in India – JEE Mains Paper 2 & NATA (National Aptitude Test for Architecture). A national level engineering entrance, JEE Main has 2 papers. Paper 1 is meant for B. Tech aspirants whereas paper 2 is for B. Arch aspirants. It is one of the most competitive exams, hence you need the best coaching institutes to clear the exam. JEE Main Paper 2 consists of Aptitude, Mathematics, and Drawing test. JEE Main Paper 2 is a widely known exam among B.Arch & B.Planning Aspirants. The JEE Main Paper 2 was conducted on Sunday, 07th April 2019. The duration of examination was 3 hrs.This year nearly 1.8 lakh candidates appeared in this exam. The best way to score well in paper 2 is to choose the right coaching institute as well as best study material. TIPS FOR B.ARCH JEE
  • Instead of learning by rote, focus on understanding the concept before moving on to the next topic. Refer to both Class XI and XII books for Maths especially.
  • Divide your syllabus in monthly and weekly segments and assign practical targets to achieve them.
  • Work on your observation skills and drawing to prepare for the Aptitude and Drawing tests. You may join a coaching class for drawing practice.
  • Utilize your Engineering Drawing notes for 2D/3D questions’ preparation.
  • Clear your doubt at the earliest to avoid any confusion later.
  • Try to add variation in your daily study schedule, like study Maths, Drawing and Aptitude related topics, to avoid monotony.
  • Make revision notes/flash cards on concepts, formulae, definitions etc. for each topic.
  • Solve enough sample papers and previous years’ tests to develop pace and practice. You can even take online mock tests for practice.

NATA Classes In Pune

WHAT IS NATA?
The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) measures the aptitude of the applicant for specific field of study, i.e. Architecture. The test measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability that have been acquired over a long period of time, and that are related to specific field of study, i.e. Architecture. National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is being conducted by COA since 2006, in terms of the provisions of CoA (Minimum Standards of Architectural Education) Regulations, 1983, published in the Gazette of India. COA has the necessary expertise to hold a Common Aptitude Test in Architecture, at national level to provide a single window system for appearing in aptitude test and to facilitate institutions, students and public at large for admission to First year of 5 year B.Arch. The purpose of conducting NATA is to provide a single scheme of examination for holding aptitude test and to facilitate prospective students all over the country to apply for admissions in architecture seats in institutions spread across the country and to avoid appearing in multiple aptitude tests. However, the actual admissions shall be carried out only by the concerned competent authorities of the respectivestates/institutions based on NATA. The NATA also ensures that the eligibility criteria for admission to five year Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree course, as prescribed by CoA and duly approved by the Central Government, are strictly adhered to and followed all over the country in Architectural Institutions.

COURSE STRUCTURE
  • Total Paper 200 marks for 3 hours.
  • 120 marks (A+B) for One and Half Hour.
  • 80 marks (C) for One and Half Hour.
A. Mathematics (As per STD 12 Syllabus: MCQs based for 40 Marks)
B. Aptitude Test : Architecture and General for 80 Marks)
Objects, texture related to architecture and built environment. Interpretation of pictorial compositions, Visualizing three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional drawing. Visualizing different sides of 3D objects. Analytical reasoning, mental ability (visual, numerical and verbal), General awareness of national/ international architects and famous architectural creations. Mathematical reasoning: Statements, logical operations like and, or, if and only if, implies, implied by. Understanding of tautology, converse, contradiction and contrapositive. Sets and Relations: Idea of sets, subsets, power set, complement, union, intersection and difference of sets, Venn diagram, De Morgan’s Laws, Relation and its properties. Equivalence relation — definition and elementary examples.
C. Drawing: 2 A4 size sheets for 80 Marks
Understanding of scale and proportion of objects, geometric composition, shape, building forms and elements, aesthetics, colour texture, harmony and contrast. Conceptualization and Visualization through structuring objects in memory. Drawing of patterns – both geometrical and abstract. Form transformations in 2D and 3D like union, subtraction, rotation, surfaces and volumes. Generating plan, elevation and 3D views of objects. Creating 2D and 3D compositions using given shape and forms. Perspective drawing, Sketching of urbanscape and landscape, Common day-to-day life objects like furniture, equipment etc., from memory.

#Thalipeeth is a type of savoury multi-grain pancake popular in Western India. The dough is prepared from a flour called Bhajanee made from roasted grains, legumes and spices. For bhajanee, the grains include rice, wheat, bajra, and jowar.Legumes include chana and urad. Coriander seed and cumin seeds are the preferred spices in making bhajanee. When preparing the #thalipeeth dough onion, fresh coriander and other vegetables and spices are added.#Thalipeeth is usually served with white water buffalo milk butter, ghee or yogurt. The dish is very popular in north Karnataka and Maharashtra.

The dish originated in the 1850s as a fast lunchtime dish for textile mill workers in Mumbai. Pav bhaji was later served at restaurants throughout the city. Pav bhaji is now offered at outlets from simple hand carts to formal restaurants in India and abroad.
Pav bhaji has many variations in ingredients and garnishes, but is essentially a spiced mixture of mashed vegetables in a thick gravy served hot with a soft white bread roll, usually cooked on a flat griddle (tava).
